Lab Work

If we have ordered lab tests for you, please review the following information about the process. Be aware that we have to work with the lab to set up your appointment, so be sure to go on the day of your appointment. We typically schedule labs a week before your next appointment, but if you aren't sure when your appointment is, just contact us (equalityclinicaugusta@gmail.com).

For legal reasons, the AUMC lab will use your legal name on all documents and in the waiting room, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

All of this information is available under "Lab work" on the Documents page.

Where to Go

You'll be going to the AUMC Medical Office Building at 1447 Harper Street. If you turn on to Harper Street from 15th Street, the AUMC hospital and Children's Hospital are on your right, and the Medical Office Building is on your left.  Drive past the medical office building (on your left), and you'll see a parking deck for the medical office building on your left. Feel free to park here! Or, if you’re coming from our Equality Clinic parking lot, get back onto St. Sebastian, and turn left onto Harper Street. The medical office building parking deck will be on your right.

See the AUMC Health Science Campus map below for MOB and MOB Parking locations.

You'll be going to the phlebotomy lab (open 7:30am - 5:30pm), which is on the second floor of the MOB. Follow the signs for the “Function Lab.”

Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule your lab appointment, please call the AUMC Lab at 706-721-4867 and let them know that your lab visit needs to be changed to another date. Please also email equalityclinicaugusta@gmail.com to let us know the date of your new lab appointment. This step is critical so that we can ensure your paperwork is at the lab before your arrival.

What you will need

When going to the lab, you only need to bring with you a photo ID (driver’s license). Visits typically last less than an hour. Your test results will be sent directly to the clinic.
